Hey everyone! It’s has been a long time since I’ve posted lol Life, reading slump, work, etc., but I’m back again with another WWW Wednesday hosted by Taking on a World Of Words. WWW Wednesday is where you answer the following questions: What are you currently reading? What have you recently finished? What do you plan on reading next? Let’s get into it!

What are you currently reading?

Taking part in Becca’s Bookoplathon this month so this is some of my TBR. Probably going to pick up Beautiful Redemption first so I finish out that series.

What have you recently finished?

I hit a reading slump hard in June, so my reading was terrible. However, in August my picked up tremendously! Here’s how:

June: only finished one book and that was Wayward Son.

July: did a reread of Saga Book One and also finished Aru Shah and the End of Time.

August: August could be called either audiobook August or adult August lol I did a reread of Written in Red and Murder of Crows, and followed it up by reading Visions in Silver and Marked in Flesh (books 3&4) in the same series. I also finally finished The Edge series by Ilona Andrews by reading book 4 Steel’s Edge. Sticking with Ilona Andrews, I read Magic Bleeds and the Curran POV Collection. Couple more rereads I did were We Set the Dark on Fire and Darkfever (on the fence about continuing this series). Read a small Divergent novella I found, plus I finally decided to check out Every Heart a Doorway. (mind you this is not in the order I read all these. Just was easier to group them together like this)

First book of September finished: Nevernight

What do you plan on reading next?

I plan to finish out more series. I will definitely continue with The Others series by Anne Bishop (on book 5) as well as the Kate Daniels and Hidden Legacy series by Ilona Andrews (also on book 5 for both of these). Plus will pick up We Unleash the Merciless Storm by Tehlor Kay Mejia to conclude that duology. So apparently it will be series September lol

PSA: I’m currently in a sort of reading slump. I want to read, badly, yet when I pick up a book I get a few chapters or pages in and then I’m done. I’m probably currently reading like 6 books lol I’ve only finished one this month. Hopefully my reading picks up soon because I miss it.

What are you currently reading

I’m playing Bookopoly with the book club I’m in for this month and next month. My first roll landed on Dystopian, so I chose Red Rising by Pierce Brown. Not that far in so I can’t really give you my thoughts yet.

This summer we are also reading the entire Middle Earth series starting with The Hobbit so I am about to start that.

The Last Namsara is next on my Myth Taker TBR so that will be another I pick up shortly.

Finally finished this book. My first book finished this month.

It’s all up to Bookopoly lol whatever I roll next after I finish Red Rising will be next read along with my readathon TBRs.

Truthwitch just came in on my Libby app so I want to get to that. Fangirl and Wayward Son are ones that I’ve already started and want to knock out.

What have you recently finished

I have finished the Witch and Wizard Series…yea I gave that series a 3.5 overall after averaging my star rating for all 5 books.

Got back into Kate Daniels. I’m glad I reread the first three because I didn’t remember a section in book 3. Plus I finished the novella before book 4.

Aurora Burning killed me. Oh my. My review for that is coming whenever I can get my thoughts in order.

I plan on participating in a couple readathons next month. So those posts will have what I plan on reading next.

Everything lol I currently have 8 books started (one is from March, 4 from April, and 3 from this month) My reading has been super sporadic. Not really in a slump but not really feeling that motivation to read 🤷🏾‍♀️

What have you recently finished

Audiobooks to pass the work night helps gets things read. I prefer to read and listen at the same time, so I tend to grab audiobooks that I don’t have the physical books for.

What do you plan on reading next

My goal is knock down some of the ones I have currently going. But knowing me I will probably finish out the Witch and Wizard series since I do have the audiobooks out on my Libby app lol

Still continuing with my buddy reads. I’m way behind on Strange, and need to read this weeks section for The Diviners. Also highly tempted to pick up Aurora Burning since my copy came in yesterday.

Reading has been a struggle this month, but I finally finished my first book. Luckily for me, I’m 5 books ahead of schedule to reach my goal of 100 read this year. So I’m not really stressing about reading.

What do you plan on reading next

Probably one of these or one of the ones I’ve been reading since last month lol I need to finish them but I’m also wanting to start all the books smh mood reading has hit hard

Finally picked Ink and Bone back up, and I should be finishing it today. I’m also reading Strange the Dreamer and The Diviners as buddy reads with a book club I’m in.

Nothing lol I have not finished a book yet in May so I’m hoping to change that with Ink and Bone.

I can’t wait until my copy of Aurora Burning comes in!! Plus I will (hopefully) finish Unravel Me. Other than that, it looks like mood read Mag is happening.

I really need to get back to Unravel Me, but I want to get to my library holds first. I sent Nevernight back because I need the physical book. It’s not a story I want to read on my phone.
