First Line Fridays 2/7//2020

Hey everyone! I’m back with another First Line Fridays, hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author, or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page.
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first!

  • I’m 40% of the way through with this book, and not sure if I’m liking it or not. Will continue it though because where I currently am, I need a solution to something. I’ve mentioned before that I can usually tell a rating while about halfway through (if I get that far)….this is currently sitting at a 3. 1. The first time I started reading this book, I didn’t make it very far. Not even to the 40% where you are now. I set it aside to my DNF pile and walked away. But a year or so later for whatever reason I came back to it in audiobook format and I’m so glad I did! Pretty sure I ended up giving it 5 stars!
