Hey everyone! Today I’m bringing you my first readathon tbr of the year. This is one of three I’m doing in February lol luckily for me two of those are monthly readathons.
The first one I’m going to talk about is the To Be Continued Readathon hosted by a few people over on twitter and discord. This readathon is all about continuing on with series, and as you all know, I love my series. So this is perfect for me. There are 7 levels in total, but you don’t have to try and reach all 7. However, you do have to finish one level before moving onto the next. So let’s get into the prompts and my selected books!
Level 1: Stand Alone
Top of the TBR Pile: Book you’re most excited to get to – Beautiful Darkness
The Journey: Middle of a series – Order of the Phoenix
The Grand Finale: Read the finale of a series – here is where I chose to use the one wild card we get to replace a prompt with any book we want. I just haven’t chosen that book yet.
Level 2: Sequel
Read the book: Adaptation/Adapted – Allegiant
This Just In: New Release that is a sequel/continuation – One of Us is Next
Level 3: Trilogy
Catch-Up: Popular Series – Strange the Dreamer
Hiatus: Uncompleted work as of yet – Wayward Son
Level 4: Arc
Tangent: Companion Novel, Parallel World, or Prequel – Four
Welcome Home: Re-read – Untamed
Level 5: Series
I Like Them, Another: Favorite Author – A World Without Princes
Take as Old as Time: Oldest Publication Date (for this I chose the oldest between three sequels) – Clockwork Prince
Level 6: Saga
Hipster: Hidden Gem – Another Jekyll, Another Hyde
Procrastination: On TBR the longest, intimidating, or putting off – The Two Towers
Level 7: Master of the TBR
I Bet You Thought You’d Seen the Last of Me: previously completed series – A Court of Wings and Ruin
Second Chance: Sequel is better (where you’ve heard the sequel/series gets better past the first book) – Kiss of Deception
My goal is to at least make it to level 4 or 5. If I do that, I will call this readathon a success 💚
Oooh, this is a cool idea for a readathon! I’m going to try to focus on sequels more this year too. 🙂 I listened to the Kiss of Deception on audiobook last year and liked it more than I expected, so I really need to get to the next book sometime soon.

I have a list of all the series I’ve started lol so this came at a perfect time for me to try and get some of these either finished or caught up. Hopefully 😊

Untamed’s cover is so pretty — I gotta say I haven’t read any of thoses (to nobody’s surprise xd as i’m not a serie girl) but I can see why you found the two towers intimidating ahaha

Thank you!! It’s not so much I found it intimidating, it’s just one of those books that need all your attention lol

I’m trying to make an effort of reading my physical TBR and this helps a lot with that

This readathon sounds really cool. I’m really bad at finishing a series, so something like this would probably be really helpful for me.
I hope you like STRANGE THE DREAMER — I really enjoyed it once I got into it. A WORLD WITHOUT PRINCES is on my TBR list, too! I liked the first book in the series a lot.

I love the School for Good and Evil series! I’m re-reading one a month leading up to the final book’s release in June. Books 3&4 are my favorites. I haven’t read 5 yet so I’m excited to get to when I do.
I tried to read Strange the Dreamer last year and only got 100 pages in before putting it down. I just couldn’t get into it but I’m excited to try this time around.
